Qatar wins membership of UPU Board of Directors

The State of Qatar won the membership of the Board of Directors of the Universal Postal Union (UPU) during the elections held on the sidelines of the 27th Universal Postal Union Congress, which is organised in the Ivorian capital, Abidjan, from August 9 to 27.
The Universal Postal Union Congress is held every four years and it is the supreme authority in the Universal Postal Union, which is a UN specialised organisation. UPU is one of the oldest international organisations, and its congress is the main event for cooperation between the actors in the postal sector, with its membership of 192 countries. The State of Qatar has been a member of the Union since 1969.More Related News
