Qatar University honours staff, students at annual convocation ceremony

Doha: Qatar University (QU) organised its annual convocation for the academic year 2021. 

The annual meeting included a welcoming speech by QU President Dr. Hassan Rashid Al Derham. Several awards were also distributed among distinguished students in the academic, administrative, and community service fields.

Dr. Al Derham said: “I greet you with the most beautiful and exquisite welcome, one that is full of pleasure and admiration for you and what you have accomplished, as well as tremendous gratitude for your earnest efforts and contributions in supporting Qatar University’s targeted aims. We renew our pledge to move forward and achieve further accomplishments and progress at this annual meeting, which has become an important university event in which we meet with you and a group of distinguished people from Qatar University who shine in the university from every aspect. We renew our commitment to move forward and achieve further progress.”
