Doha: Ministry of Public Health has approved to administer a third dose of Covid-19 vaccines to individuals suffering from some immunodeficiency diseases.
The ministry said that its approval comes in line with the permit issued by the US Food and Drug Administration recently and the approval of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in the United States in this regard, as the third dose applies only to individuals with severe immunodeficiency and who are particularly vulnerable to serious complications of the infection (Covid-19). MoPH noted that individuals from this category are more at risk of developing a serious and prolonged illness in the event of being infected with (Covid-19), as they may not obtain the same level of immunity after receiving two doses of the vaccine compared to people who do not suffer from immunodeficiency, pointing out that these patients will benefit from receiving an extra dose of the vaccine to ensure that they receive adequate protection against the COVID-19 virus.More Related News
