Nasser Al Attiyah stormed into overall lead at the Desafio Ruta 40 in Argentina yesterday after winning the fourth and penultimate stage. The Qatari driver and his navigator Edouard Boulanger holds a slender 47 seconds over Saudi driver Yazeed Al Rajhi going into the final stage of the fourth round of the FIA World Rally-Raid Championship (W2RC). Al Attiyah has a 12-point lead in the driver’s championship over his closest rival Carlos Sainz, who is not participating in Argentina. After winning yesterday's 391-kilometer stage between San Juan and La Rioja, Al Attiyah is well positioned to win the Desafio Ruta 40 and extend his championship lead.
