Qatar reports 949 Covid-19 cases, 2 deaths on April 8

Doha: Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) today reported 949 new cases of coronavirus (Covid-19) and 521 people recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of people recovered in Qatar to 168,001.

Out of 949 new cases, 805 are community cases and 144 from travellers returning from abroad. The ministry also announced two deaths of people 34 and 65 years, taking the total death toll as of today to 322. One of them had chronic diseases and all of them received necessary medical care, MoPH said. 25,043 doses of Covid-19 vaccines have been administered during the past 24 hours.
