Geneva: Permanent Representative of Qatar to the United Nations Office in Geneva HE Hend bint Abdalrahman Al Muftah has assumed the presidency of the fifty-eighth annual session of the Joint Advisory Group (JAG) of the International Trade Centre (2024-2025).
During the convening of JAG's at the headquarters of the World Trade Organization (WTO) on Tuesday, Her Excellency delivered remarks in which she thanked the Head of the Permanent Mission of Canada in Geneva, Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the WTO HE Nadia Theodore for superbly presiding over the fifty-seventh annual session of the JAG.
Her Excellency also thanked Director-General of WTO HE Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, HE Secretary-general of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) Rebeca Grynspan and HE Executive Director of the International Trade Centre (ITC) Pamela Coke-Hamilton.
HE Al Muftah expressed the State of Qatar's appreciation for the significant activities of JAG and ITC, as the latter continues to upgrade its performance and achieve tangible results for the small and medium -sized enterprises (SMEs), in addition to addressing its fragility, affirming that such a work represents foremost priority for the State of Qatar.
