Cairo: The State of Qatar is participating in the 54th ordinary session of the Permanent Arab Committee for Human Rights that commenced at the Secretariat-General of the Arab League in Cairo on Monday and will run for three days.
The State of Qatar was represented by a delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, led by HE Ambassador Dr. Turki bin Abdulla Al Mahmoud.
In his speech at the meeting, HE Dr. Turki bin Abdulla Al Mahmoud highlighted the importance of the session's agenda, especially regarding the unprecedented Israeli violations against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, praising the efforts of the Secretariat General of the Arab League and the Permanent Arab Committee for Human Rights for organizing this important meeting.
His Excellency reaffirmed the State of Qatar's condemnation of the Israeli violations and racist practices in the occupied Arab territories, particularly attacks against civilians, stressing the need to adhere to international humanitarian law and protect civilians from the serious violations to which they are continuously subjected in the occupied Palestinian territories.
