Qatar participates in preparatory meeting for 30th session of GCC Electricity And Water Cooperation

The State of Qatar participated on Wednesday in the preparatory meeting of the ministries of electricity and water preparatory for the work of the 30th meeting of the GCC Electricity and Water Cooperation Committee, held via video communication technology. The State of Qatar was represented by HE President of Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (KAHRAMAA) Eng. Essa bin Hilal Al Kuwari in the meeting which dealt with the most important axes related to coordination and joint work between member states in the fields of electricity and water. During the meeting, HE Eng. Al Kuwari affirmed Qatar's permanent support for all efforts and projects to raise the level of coordination and cooperation between the GCC states in the fields of energy and water resource management, highlighting the importance of this endeavor in enhancing energy and water security for all Arab Gulf states. His Excellency highlighted the importance of bilateral water interconnection projects as an important step towards achieving comprehensive connectivity between all GCC countries, stressing that the State of Qatar considers the collective water linkage a strategic goal of great importance to all member states.
