Mecca: The Qatari Hajj mission in the holy lands signed a cooperation agreement on Wednesday, June 12, with the German-Saudi Hospital in Mecca. This agreement aims to provide treatment for emergency or chronic medical conditions requiring hospital admission, ensuring the health and safety of the state's pilgrims during their Hajj rituals and until their return home after completing the pilgrimage.
The agreement was signed by Dr. Khalid Abdulhadi, who is Head of the Medical Services Unit in the Qatari Hajj mission, and Dr. Sherif Hussein, Executive Director of the German-Saudi Hospital.
In this context, the Head of the Medical Services Unit explained that the cooperation contract with the German-Saudi Hospital complements additional contracts signed with private hospitals in the Mecca Towers overlooking the Haram and near the residences of Qatari pilgrims in some of these towers. He mentioned that an agreement was also made with Mecca Park Hospital, which is located near the accommodation of Qatari pilgrims, to serve the state's pilgrims in case of emergencies.
The medical unit will be ready to respond to any urgent medical situation of the pilgrims near their residences, and they will have priority for treatment in these hospitals.
