Qatar clinch 3-1 win in Croatia friendly

Doha: Asian champions Qatar continued their fine run as they defeated a local side in a friendly match yesterday on the sidelines of their ongoing training camp in Croatia.  

Mohamed Muntari, Abdullah Al Ahrak and Akram Afif - returning from injury - were on target as Al Annabi scored two goals in the second half to win the match. The game was tied at 1-1 in first half.    Qatar will meet El Salvador in their second friendly match on July 4 before wrapping up the training camp on July 6. The Felix Sanchez-coached side is gearing up to make their debut in this month’s CONCACAF Gold Cup.
