Qatar Charity urges benefactors to contribute to Udhiyah drive
Qatar Charity (QC) has urged benefactors to donate to its Udhiyah drive during the blessed days of Dhul-Hijjah to maximise the number of beneficiaries such as low-income families in Qatar and the poor, needy, displaced and refugees outside the country. This comes as part of Qatar Charity’s Eid al-Adha campaign, ‘Delight them with your sacrifice, Let the hope continue’. Locally, QC aims to provide 5,000 Udhiyah (sacrificial animals), valued at over QR3.8mn, to 46,500 expected beneficiaries from low-income and expatriate families as well as coronavirus-affected people, according to a press statement. Besides, Qatar Charity seeks to distribute nearly 85,018 Udhiyah in 32 African, Asian and European countries, where nearly 1.2mn people are expected to benefit from the drive, at an estimated cost of QR30.7mn.More Related News
