The water station is expected to benefit more than 26,000 displaced people.
Qatar Charity announced the completion of drilling a well and establishing a new water station in Tajmla area in the Sudanese state of South Kordofan. The Commissioner of Humanitarian Aid in South Kordofan State Rawia Kamal, said that this station is expected to benefit more than 26,000 displaced people, as well as more than 700 refugee families from South Sudan. She added that the water scarcity in the region led to the outbreak of many conflicts during the last period, but Qatar Charity's intervention by establishing a water station would end tensions. Tajmla area previously suffered from a severe shortage of drinking water, especially after the voluntary return of tens of thousands of displaced people to the area, which put pressure on the area's limited water sources, which do not cover the needs of the population.
