Gulf Times
The project aims to take advantage of the local capabilities and products, contribute to economically supporting productive families, and encourage them to expand their activities in the market, in addition to meeting the needs of families with limited income in Ramadan.
Qatar Charity (QC), as part of its ‘Ramadan of Hope’ drive, continues to implement its family Iftar project named ‘From Home to Home’, with the support of Doha Bank and Vodafone. Under this project, Qatar Charity distributes complete family Iftar meals - prepared by Qatari families - among low-income households, benefiting 40 families daily throughout the holy month of Ramadan. The productive Qatari families are contracted to prepare and provide the Iftar meals to low-income families. The ready-to-eat Iftar meals are delivered to the homes of the target families by volunteers, as part of QC’s efforts to promote a culture of volunteering and community service. The project aims to take advantage of the local capabilities and products, contribute to economically supporting productive families, and encourage them to expand their activities in the market, in addition to meeting the needs of families with limited income in Ramadan. Qatar Charity has urged philanthropists and donors to support its charitable projects to reach the largest possible number of beneficiaries. One can easily donate to the projects and the Ramadan drive through QC’s website, app, branches and collection points located in malls and commercial centres, in addition to requesting for a home collector and dialing 44667711 to donate.
