Qatar Charity (QC) carried out the school bag distribution project for the year 2021-2022 in cooperation with UNICEF and in coordination with the Ministry of Higher Education in Kyrgyzstan, benefiting 7,000 students from children of poor families and orphans in 25 schools in Chuy Province.
The goal of the project is to alleviate the burdens of children's study requirements to build an educated generation that serves itself, its community, and its nation.
Kyrgyzstan's Deputy Minister of Education and Higher Education Nurlan Omurov, UNICEF representative Christine Jaulmes and several local officials distributed the school bags.
This project stems from Qatar Charity's belief that education is essential for the development process in all countries, Qatar Charity's Kyrgyzstan office acting director Mohammed Hammam Al Samman said, adding that with this project, Qatar Charity aims to provide students with educational attainment tools and help the parents meet their children's school needs.
