A shepherd in Punjab’s Dera Bassi allegedly raped his 17-year-old friend on the pretext of showing her his flock of sheep. Police have registered a case following a complaint by the survivor, the Hindustan Times reported.

A couple of days ago, Guri offered to show the teenage girl his herd of sheep and lambs, to which she agreed. But instead, he took her to a forest and raped her. He also threatened to kill her family if she disclosed the incident to anyone.
Soon after her ordeal, the girl was taken ill. On being coaxed by her parents, she narrated the incident to her family members, who approached the police.
