Punjab govt announces Rs 1 crore ex-gratia, job to kin of solider who died in Arunachal Pradesh

The Punjab government on Sunday announced an ex-gratia of Rs 1 crore and a job for the kin of slain soldier Subedar Hardeep Singh who died in the line of duty in Arunachal Pradesh.
The Punjab government has announced an ex-gratia grant of Rs 1 crore besides a government job to one family member of Subedar Hardeep Singh who died on Friday along the LAC in Arunachal Pradesh.
Extending his sympathies with the bereaved family of the courageous JCO, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said, “Subedar Hardeep Singh displayed the utmost dedication to defend the country's unity and his sacrifice would inspire his fellow soldiers to perform their duties with far more devotion and commitment”.
Subedar Hardeep Singh hailed from the village Baranda in Garhdiwala tehsil of Hoshiarpur district. He was married and was survived by his wife, Ravinder Kaur, and two children, including a daughter and a son.
The AAP had announced to provide relief of Rs 1 crore to the families of the martyred jawans of Punjab.
