Punjab couple arrested with 7 kg heroin in J&K’s Udhampur

The J&K Police seized seven kg of heroin and arrested the smuggler couple from Punjab.
A couple from Punjab were arrested with seven kg of heroin in Jammu and Kashmir's Udhampur district on Friday, September 2, a police officer said.
The police said, “Lovepreet Singh and his wife Mandeep Kaur were travelling in a private car when they were intercepted by police”.

According to the police, the accused, who hailed from Ram Tirth Road in Punjab's Amritsar, are inter-state drug smugglers. A case under the relevant provisions of law has been registered against them.
