Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh met Union home minister Amit Shah on Tuesday and asked him to provide 25 companies of CAPF and anti-drone gadgets to Punjab for its security.
Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh met Union home minister Amit Shah on Tuesday and asked him to urgently provide the state with 25 companies of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) and anti-drone gadgets for the Border Security Force (BSF). Urged Union Home Minister @AmitShah to allot 25 CAPF and anti-drone gadgets for the BSF to effectively tackle enhanced security threat from Pak-based terror groups. Have also apprised him about recent recovery of arms involving heightened drone activity ahead of Aug 15. According to the chief minister’s office, Punjab is facing an “escalating threat to its security from across the border”. Captain Amarinder Singh cited a recent heavy influx of weapons, hand-grenades and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) into the state in his conversation with Amit Shah.More Related News
