Pump prices drop again on P.E.I.
CBC
P.E.I. woke up to lower gas prices for the second time this week following an unscheduled price adjustment by the Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission.
The price of regular gas fell by five cents per litre, while the price of diesel fell six cents per litre, IRAC said in a news release.
"This adjustment comes as markets continue to experience volatility," the news release reads.
Global markets experienced steep declines this week amid ongoing tariff escalations.
IRAC said it will monitor the situation in the coming days and respond accordingly.
The commission adjusted prices at the pump earlier this week after Prime Minister Mark Carney's directive to remove the carbon tax came into effect on April 1.
