Public events banned in Thiruvananthapuram after Covid positivity rate exceeds 32%

Thiruvananthapuram authorities banned public gatherings after the Covid positivity rate surpassed 32 per cent on Saturday.
Thiruvananthapuram district administration in Kerala has banned all public events in view of the surge in Covid-19 cases.
A decision in this regard was made after the Test Positivity Rate (TPR) in the district soared to 32.76 per cent. Positivity rate refers to the percentage of individuals whose samples return positive for Covid-19 out of the total number of tests conducted on a particular day.
