Champion Trainer Pesi Shroff’s top filly Psychic Star, ridden by Jockey Vivek G, won the Villoo C. Poonawalla Indian Oaks (Gr. 1), the stellar attraction of Saturday’s (Jan. 11) races here.

The winner is owned by Mr. & Mrs. Vijay B. Shirke, Mr. Jay V. Shirke, Mrs. Liane Luthria & Miss. Ameeta Mehra.

Jockey Vivek G rode with poise, keeping his mount in fourth position until the field turned into the home straight. From there, Psychic Star accelerated effortlessly, clinching a decisive and comfortable victory.

This exceptional daughter of Multitude and Psychic Light added another feather to the cap of her ace trainer, Pesi Shroff, by delivering his fifth consecutive Indian Oaks triumph and elevating his overall Oaks tally to an impressive 13.

Bred at the illustrious Usha Stud Farm, Psychic Star’s success also secured a landmark 19th Indian Oaks win for her breeders — the highest by any stud farm in the country.
