PSL 2022: Wasim Akram took to social media to clarify after a video of him having an intense chat on the field with Karachi Kings captain Babar Azam went viral on social media.
Legendary Pakistan fast bowler Wasim Akram on Thursday played down his seemingly heated on-field interaction with Babar Azam during a Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2022 match at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. A video of Akram having a heated chat with Babar went viral online and a section of Pakistan cricket fans were not happy with the way Akram shooed instructions to Babar from near the boundary rope.
Akram, who is the president of Karachi Kings franchise in PSL 2022, took to social media on Thursday to clarity his stance on the viral clip that is being circulated online.
"Hello! Surprised to see reactions to my talking to Babar at the boundary last night. What I was saying was ‘why our bowlers are not bowling yorkers or slower ones offside off’.nothing else. Babar is a wonderful boy and has tried his best. And what he wants for dinner," Akram wrote on Twitter.
Babar was listening with rapt attention after Akram was seemingly furious with the Karachi Kings' bowling effort.
