A young boy purportedly chanted slogans against Hindus and Christians at a Popular Front of India rally in Kerala. The state BJP chief has called it the most provocative and dangerous slogan in recent times.
The most provocative, dangerous sloganeering Kerala has ever seen, said state BJP chief K Surendran on Monday, reacting to the video of a young boy purportedly chanting slogans against Hindus and Christians at a Popular Front of India (PFI) rally.
K Surendran said, "Where are we heading towards? Why weren't the police not able to stop rallies where such statements are made?"
In a viral video, a boy was heard saying, “Keep rice ready. Yama [god of death] will visit your home. If you live respectfully, you can live in our place. If not, we don’t know what will happen.”

"The main parties here are waiting for the Trikkakara by-election to get over. They are only bothered about the 20 per cent votes," said Surendran, accusing Congress and Left parties of appeasement politics.
After the video emerged, PFI spokesperson Rauf Pattambi said the slogans were not raised at the organisation’s conference but during a rally in which thousands of people participated. Further, he said the slogans were not against Hindus or Christians but Hindutva terrorists and fascists.
A further probe into the matter is underway.
