The demonstrations were staged by Navnirman Yuva Chhatra Sangathan (NYCS) activists who urged the Union government to cut taxes imposed on petrol and diesel. In small groups of 20-30 members, the activists assembled at several fuel stations across the city at 9 am on Tuesday. The group members sat on a 12-hour dharna inside filling stations and raised slogans against the Narendra Modi government, and demanded an immediate cut in fuel and LPG prices.More Related News
