A BJP leader, claiming to be an eyewitness to the Lakhimpur Kheri incident, told India Today that the protesting farmers pelted stones at the vehicle that made it lose control and run over four farmers.

The protesting farmers attacked the convoy of BJP workers in Lakhimpur Kheri with stones which made a vehicle lose control and run over four people, a BJP leader, claiming to be an eyewitness to the incident, told India Today.

On Sunday, eight people were killed in violence during a protest against the farm laws in Uttar Pradesh's Lakhimpur Kheri. Four of the dead were farmers who were allegedly knocked down by vehicles driven by BJP workers. In response, the farmers pulled out the BJP workers from the vehicles and allegedly lynched them.
