Protest on price rise an excuse, Congress wants to protect Gandhis: Ravi Shankar Prasad
India Today
BJP leader RS Prasad claimed that the Congress protest on price rise is an excuse and the real intention is to protect the Gandhis from the ED probe.
Senior BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad on Friday called the Congress price-rise protests as "utterly irresponsible" and said the party's real intention is to protect the Gandhis from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) probe in a money laundering case.
"India has changed, the democratic narrative has changed, Rahul Gandhi still has the arrogance of his family. Because they are not getting leverage, they are creating problems. Inflation is an excuse, the protests are to scare the ED and save the Gandhis." Prasaid told India Today.

"If he [Rahul Gandhi] doesn't get bail and cases don't get quashed, then the judiciary is unfair. If he doesn't win elections, then EC is unfair. Therefore, if the system works to his advantage, keeps quiet, eyes shut, then the system is alright. Under Congress, Indian democracy became an epitome of corruption," Prasad added.
