The Chhattisgarh government has approved a proposal to open kindergartens at 6,536 locations.
A proposal to open kindergartens in 6,536 locations in Chhattisgarh was approved by the state government as per a senior official. The official further informed that the proposal by the state's education department received approval during a cabinet meeting which was chaired by Chief Minister Bhughel.
Explaining further, he said that the kindergartens which will be for children in the age group of five to six years will be started at 6,536 locations where Anganwadi centers are situated within the school premises.
From the academic year 2022-23, 68,054 out of 3,23,624 kids in the age range would benefit from the project, he informed further.
He added that in addition, the cabinet also approved the Chhattisgarh Appropriation Bill 2022 for presentation of the budget estimate for year 2022-23 in Vidhan Sabha and Chhattisgarh Regularisation of Unauthorised Development Bill 2022 to amend the Chhattisgarh Unauthorised Development Regulation Act 2002.
The cabinet has resolved to prolong the validity of the recruitment result for vacant pharmacist jobs in various districts under the Directorate of AYUSH for a year, according to the official.
The cabinet has decided to distribute fortified rice to ration card holders under the state's scheme in 10 aspirational districts (Korba, Rajnandgaon, Mahasamund, Kanker, Narayanpur, Dantewada, Bijapur, Bastar, Kondagaon, Sukma) and two high-burden districts (Kabirdham and Raigarh) in 2022-23, among other decisions, he added.
