Prophet row violence: Special RPF forces deployed at Bengal’s Bethuadahari railway station after vandalism

Special teams of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) were deployed in Bengal’s Nadia district after agitators, protesting against Nupur Sharma’s comments on the Prophet, vandalised a train at the Bethuadahari station.
Additional forces were deployed at Bethuadahari rail station in West Bengal’s Nadia district on Tuesday after protesters targeted and vandalized a local train on Sunday. According to a high-level decision, a special railway protection force has been deployed at the station premises till the situation gets easy.

The incident took place after a protest march was taken out by locals against Nupur Sharma's comment on the Prophet Muhammad. Some protesters barged into the railway station and vandalized a train on Sunday.
On Tuesday, a heavy police force did a route march through the tension-hit areas in Nadia district.
Meanwhile, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) personnel were deployed at various railway stations in the state to avoid any untoward incidents and disruption of train services.
Internet services resumed in Howrah from Monday but will continue to be suspended in Beldanada of Murshidabad district till June 15.
