Speaking on the Prophet remark row, Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan has slammed the Sangh Parivar for defaming India.
Kerala chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan criticised former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma's controversial remarks against Prophet Muhammad and slammed the Sangh Parivar for embarrassing India in front of the world.
‘’The Sangh Parivar has brought our country, which is respected by all as a secular democracy, to a state of shame in front of the world,” CM Pinarayi Vijayan said.
“The Hindutva communalism is undermining the social security and economic stability of the country and the central government should take action to punish the hate propagandists,” the Kerala CM said.
“The Hindutva communal politics is marginalising the Muslim community and it is destroying not only the social security of the country but also economic stability. These problems are in addition to the difficulties created by their failed economic policies,” he said.

“Many Islamic countries, which employ millions of Indians and make key contributions to our economy and development, have become vocal in their opposition to the politics of hatred of the BJP and the Sangh Parivar. These are countries that have very friendly relations with India," Vijayan said.
“The Indian Constitution does not give anyone the right to insult or deny the beliefs and culture of another religion. The central government should take steps to curb the vicious attempts to endanger the great secular heritage of our country and to punish the hate propagandists,” the Kerala CM said.
