Pune district administration has imposed prohibitory orders restricting social media activity in view of incidents of stone-pelting that took place in parts of Maharashtra during a Bandh earlier this month.
The order, issued by Pune District Collector Rajesh Deshmukh on Sunday, prohibits people from uploading messages and posts on social media platforms that could incite communal tension among groups, as well as holding meetings, an official said.
