Mareppa Aroli alias Jayanna, 48, from Aroli village in Raichur district of Karnataka is named in 50 cases
He was influenced by the Maoist movement in Raichur district in the late 1990s while he was a student. Hailing from a Dalit family, he had to discontinue his studies after completing II year BA. Disturbed by the encounter of a Maoist activist, he joined the armed struggle in 2000, when he was 24 years old. He had distanced himself from the dalam (group) in between, but returned to the armed struggle in 2018.
K. Vasanthan of Arcot in Vellore district of Tamil Nadu is named in 9 cases
A B.Tech graduate, he was influenced by the Maoist movement in his student days. He joined the armed struggle in 2010 immediately after completing his education. He has been active in Kerala and Karnataka since then.
Jisha of Makkimala in Wayanad district of Kerala is named in 18 cases
She is the youngest member of the Maoist group. She is an Adivasi who had to discontinue her education after class 8. She joined the armed struggle in 2018 in Kerala. She moved to Karnataka a year ago along with other members of the group.
Vanajakshi, 54, of Mudigere in Chikkamagaluru district of Karnataka is named in 25 cases
