
Probe won't yield anything, says Kumaraswamy as Karnataka forms 7-member SIT to probe Jarkiholi case

A 7-member SIT has been formed at the direction of Karnataka government to probe sexual harassment allegations against former minister Ramesh Jarkiholi.
Karnataka government has set up a seven-member SIT to probe the scandal involving former state minister Ramesh Jarkiholi. Basavaraj Bommai, home minister of Karnataka, had ordered the formation of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) on March 10. The seven-member SIT will be headed by ACP Soumendu Mukherjee, Bengaluru City Police Commissioner Kamal Pant told the media on Friday. Commissioner Pant said that senior officials, including CCB Joint Commissioner Sandeep Patil, CCB DCP Ravikumar, DCP Central Anuchet and ACP Dharmendra will assist the SIT in its probe. A meeting was held on Friday morning to finalise the members of this SIT formed to investigate the scandal that led to Karnataka minister Ramesh Jarkiholi's resignation.More Related News
