The couple also made their first public appearance as husband and wife after tying the knot in an intimate ceremony. Needless to say, social media is flooded with sweet wishes for the newlyweds. Priyanka Chopra also took to Instagram story Friday morning, April 15, to congratulate Ranbir and Alia.

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt got married at their Mumbai home, Vastu. The wedding guest list included close friends and family. Neetu Kapoor, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Pooja Bhatt, Karan Johar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Ayan Mukerji and Randhir Kapoor, among others, attended Alia-Ranbir ki shaadi. The theme of their wedding was pastel and the duo opted for Sabyasachi and Manish Malhotra attires for the day.

An insider told IndiaToday.in how Alia and Ranbir got emotional with Karan and Ayan and said, "Apparently, Karan always dreamt of this day when he would give away Alia, who he considers his daughter as a bride, and this was the moment the four of them got emotional. As soon as Ayan and Karan arrived, they rushed to meet Alia and gave her a hug. Ayan got extremely emotional seeing Alia dressed up as the bride and Karan hugged all of them. Ayan was later spotted in a long conversation with Ranbir's father-in-law Mahesh Bhatt."
