Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas have made our weekend with a piece of wonderful news. The couple announced that they have welcomed their first child via surrogacy. Requesting for privacy, the couple did not indulge in more details. However, reports are rife that the couple has welcomed a baby girl 12 weeks early. The little one is reportedly still in the hospital.
According to a report by Daily Mail, Priyanka and Nick have welcomed a baby girl, 12 weeks early. A source informed the news publication that Nick and Priyanka's baby girl was born in a Southern California hospital outside LA, where she'll remain until she is healthy enough to return home.
A source informed the portal that Priyanka and Nick were planning on having a child for a long time, but because of their busy schedules, they kept delaying it. They then went ahead and contacted an agency to know their options and, in the end, they chose surrogacy. They were connected to a woman in Southern California, who they thought was the perfect match.
The source close to DailyMail.com shared that this is the woman's fifth surrogacy. The insider also revealed that Priyanka has no fertility issues. Daily Mail quoted the source saying, "Priyanka doesn't have any fertility issues preventing her from having a baby, but she is 39 now, so it's not getting any easier. Their busy work schedules also mean that it's difficult for them to physically be together to conceive when she is ovulating, so some time ago they went down the surrogacy route."
Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra, in a joint statement, announced the birth of their first child on social media last night, January 21. Priyanka Chopra took to social media and wrote, "We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate. We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family. Thank you so much (sic)."
