St. Paul's Cathedral in London has a long history. It would not have bee the venue for the nuptials of Prince Charles and Princess Diana had it not survived a bomb raid during WWII.
There were several bomb raids in and around the cathedral during WWII. Ashlyn Messier is a writer for Fox News Digital.
During "The Blitz," a German bombing campaign on British cities, London was bombed 57 nights in a row, according to the St. Paul's Cathedral website. During this time, there were over a million buildings partially damaged or destroyed.
