Prime Minister Trudeau to shuffle his cabinet today as caucus critics call on him to quit

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is set to mix up his front bench today as he continues to face pressure to step down.
Today's cabinet shuffle comes days after former deputy prime minister and finance minister Chrystia Freeland resigned suddenly, spurring an emboldened movement within the Liberal caucus to push Trudeau out of the leadership.
According to multiple sources who spoke to CBC News and Radio-Canada, Ottawa MP David McGuinty and Toronto MP Nathaniel Erskine-Smith will join Trudeau's cabinet. Sources have told Radio-Canada the shuffle will involve at least ten people.
One senior government source told CBC News the timing and size of the shuffle should not be taken as a signal that the prime minister has made up his mind about his future, adding Trudeau is still "reflecting" on his position.
The purpose of the shuffle is to make sure the cabinet is complete so the government can function properly, the source said.
