Prices of over 50 commodities surged after Siddaramaiah became CM, alleges Vijayendra

BJP State president accuses Siddaramaiah of price hikes, lack of development, and anti-Hindu policies in Karnataka.
State president of BJP B.Y. Vijayendra alleged here on Wednesday that prices of over 50 commodities skyrocketed after Siddaramaiah became the Chief Minister.
Addressing the Janakrosha Yatre of the party in the city Mr. Vijayendra alleged that common persons in the State are reeling under surge in prices of essential commodities, including milk and diesel.
“It appears Mr. Siddaramaiah is not the Chief Minister of the State (Karnataka) but of Congress,” he said.
The BJP State president alleged that Mr. Siddaramaiah is not touring the State for fearing of losing his position as Chief Minister and not able to face people for not taking up development projects across the State. Hence he is not moving out of Bengaluru.
Mr. Siddaramaiah is apprehensive that if he went out of Bengaluru his Chief Minister’s post will be in danger. As he is facing uncertainty he is not stepping out of Bengaluru, he alleged.
Mr. Vijayendra said that many Congress MLAs have admitted openly that the government has not released funds for the development projects in the State. The government has not released their area development funds. Hence the Chief Minister is not ready to face rebuke of people across the State and is shying away from the State tour.
“How many times did you (Mr. Siddaramaiah) visited Mangaluru after becoming Chief Minister?,” he asked.
