Previous government lacked willpower to fight corruption: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said the previous government lacked the willpower to fight corruption.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said the government does not spare people who deceive and loot the nation, 'however strong be the people', adding that the previous government lacked the willpower to fight corruption.

He said, "The manner in which governments used to run earlier, in which the system functioned earlier, they lacked both political and administrative willpower. Today there's a political will to come down heavily on corruption; continuous improvement is also being made to the administrative level."
