Preventive measures likely to continue during Ramadan and Eid: HMC official

Doha: Medical Director of Hamad General Hospital, Dr. Yousef Al Maslamani, has said that preventive measures against COVID-19 are expected to continue during Ramadan and Eid Al Fitr.

“Until now, it is not known if we were able to overcome the cases of infection during this period, and we expect that the preventive measures to be continues during Ramadan and Eid period until the cases are reduced to less than they are now, and then some restrictions may be changed,” said Dr. Yousef Al Maslamani. In video posted on social media sites of HMC, Dr. Al Maslamani said that it is very encouraging to see clear evidence that vaccines protect people from the emergence of severe symptoms of COVID-19 infection.
