President Biden To Commemorate Tulsa Race Massacre's 100th Anniversary

In 1921, a White mob attacked the city's affluent Black community of Greenwood – also known as "Black Wall Street."

President Biden will travel to Tulsa, Oklahoma next Tuesday to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Tulsa Race Massacre.  In 1921, a White mob attacked the city's affluent Black community of Greenwood – also known as "Black Wall Street."  It's estimated that up to 300 people were killed. Homes and businesses were set on fire and destroyed. The aftermath resembled a war zone.
