President Biden delivered brief remarks after former President Donald Trump was seen with blood on his face and rushed off stage at a rally Saturday, referring to the former president by his first name, "Donald."
Mr. Biden said he hasn't yet spoken to Trump, but he's trying to get a hold of the presumptive GOP nominee and hopes to speak with him tonight. The president has been updated by top Secret Service and Homeland Security officials, but details are still emerging.
"There is no place for this kind of violence in America. It's sick. It's sick," Mr. Biden said.
Democratic Gov. Andy Beshear banned the use of "conversion therapy" on minors in Kentucky on Wednesday, calling his executive order an overdue step to protect children from a widely discredited practice that tries to change a person's sexual orientation or gender identity through counseling. Over 20 other states that have passed laws prohibiting the controversial treatment.
