Manchester City dispatched Newcastle United 4-0 at St James' Park to extend their Premier League winning run to eight games, while Chelsea were held to a goalless draw by Wolverhampton Wanderers at a misty Molineux Stadium.

The dominant performance keeps City top on 44 points, four ahead of second-placed Liverpool, who visit Tottenham Hotspur later on Sunday, and six clear of Chelsea in third.
