Prayed to free human race from Covid-19, says PM Modi after Bangladesh temple visit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is on two-day visit to Bangladesh, said that he prayed at the Jeshoreshwari Kali Temple for the human race to get rid of Covid-19.

After offering prayers at the Jeshoreshwari Kali Temple in Bangladesh on Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said he prayed that the human race gets rid of the novel coronavirus as early as possible. #WATCH "Today, I got the opportunity to offer prayers before Maa Kali...I prayed to her to free the human race from COVID19," says Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Jeshoreshwari Kali Temple in Bangladesh pic.twitter.com/Jxz8v425xQ Speaking to news agency ANI, PM Modi, who is on two-day visit to Bangladesh, said, "Today, I got the opportunity to visit this Shaktipeeth to pay obeisance to Maa Kali. I prayed to her to free the human race from Covid-19," PM Modi further suggested that the temple, which has been renovated recently by the Bangladesh government, could be used for social, religious and educational events as well.
