The Dakshina Kannada district police arrested one more accused in connection with the Praveen Nettaru murder case on Tuesday.

The accused was identified as Abdul Kabeer (33), a resident of Sullia town.
“ An investigation is going on. All the assailants have been identified and a search for them is going on,” police said.
Seven accused have been arrested so far in connection with the murder case.
PRAVEEN NETTARU MURDER CASE
Praveen Nettaru was hacked to death with lethal weapons by unidentified people in front of his broiler shop when he was heading home after closing his shop on July 26.
Following the killing, tension prevailed in several places in the Dakshina Kannada district, with instances of stone-pelting and police lathi charges being reported. Section 144 was imposed in the Puttur area and security was tightened as protests erupted. Security forces were deployed in Bellare village of the Dakshina Kannada district in the wake of this incident.
