Expressing distress over political commentator Pratap Bhanu Mehta's resignation from the Ashoka University under "political pressure", over 150 academicians from prestigious universities across the globe such as Harvard, Yale, Columbia, London School of Economics (LSE) and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), have written an open letter to trustees of the varsity. The Ashoka University in Haryana's Sonipat was in the limelight earlier this week after Pratap Bhanu Mehta, who had resigned as its vice-chancellor two years back, chose to step down as professor, saying that the founders made it "abundantly clear that his association with the institution was a political liability". Two days later, former Chief Economic Advisor (CEA) Arvind Subramanian also resigned from the university in solidarity with Mehta.More Related News
