Extending support to Sameer Wankhede, Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi leader Prakash Ambedkar said the NCB zonal director "did nothing wrong".
Prakash Ambedkar, leader of Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi and grandson of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar, on Saturday came out in support of NCB Zonal director Sameer Wankhede. So beautifully explained by honourable @Prksh_Ambedkar . Thank you sir for drawing light and sharing your legal knowledge on this topic. Your words instil faith in our hearts and boosts our confidence in our legal fight. We are immensely grateful towards this gesture. pic.twitter.com/oLR7ycnL20
Ambedkar said that Wankhede got married under the Special Marriage Act and that is proof of the fact that he did not make any move to leave his old religion and did not convert to Islam. Hence, when he claimed to be a Dalit and claimed the benefit of reservation to join the Indian Revenue Services (IRS), he did nothing wrong.
