Power restored in Hearst, Ont. after outage

The Town of Hearst says power has been restored to all residents.
It went out early Monday morning, as the area was under an extreme cold warning. Outside temperatures were around -30 C.
Emergency shelters were open at the community's Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) station and in the gymnasium of Sainte-Anne Catholic School.
On social media, the town posted that the shelters are now closed since the power is restored.
"We would like to thank all the workers who have been working tirelessly in these extreme conditions to ensure the safety and well-being of our community," the post stated.
Two anonymous letters first tipped the Manitoba government off to possible collusion by contractors vying for dozens of public housing projects more than a decade ago, according to search warrant documents — but charges against the people accused could now be stayed because the process has taken so long.
