Portion of vacated building collapses in Mumbai's Kalbadevi area

A portion of a vacated building collapsed in Mumbai's Kalbadevi area. No casualties have been reported so far in the incident.
A portion of a vacated building collapsed in Mumbai's Kalbadevi area on Thursday.
The west side portion of the G+4 MHADA structure collapsed while repair work was underway, as per a Junior Engineer who was present on-site. The building was located in Badam Wadi, Kalbadevi.
The incident was reported to the Metropolitan Fire and Emergency Services Board (MFB) at around 3 pm. Six vehicles have been sent by the Fire Brigade to the spot.
No casualties have been reported so far in the incident.
Earlier, a four-storey building collapsed in Mumbai’s Kurla East on Monday night. The incident took place in the Naik Nagar area.
At least 19 people died and atleast 15 were injured in the incident. Meanwhile, an FIR was registered against the landlords under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPS).
