Pooja Bhatt, who was missing from the big screen since 21 years, finally made her acting comeback with Netflix show Bombay Begums. Pooja was one of the guest speakers at the India Today Woman Summit 2021. The actress, in conversation with India Today TV Executive Editor Shiv Aroor, talked about her latest release, the stereotypes that exist in Bollywood and more. When asked about if stereotypes agree in the industry and if new ones are being created with respect to women characters, Pooja Bhatt said that she agrees that there are stereotypes indeed. She added, " For instance, traditionally someone my age, at 49, would be cast in a film. But that role would be of the mother of a man who I was possibly cast opposite 20 years ago. Men don't age in Bollywood especially. We are very comfortable with a 53-year-old going to college and we kind of are okay looking at his wrinkles or botox face. But we are not that comfortable with a woman like that."More Related News
