The police has sent teams to Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh to arrest religious leader Kalicharan Maharaj.
The Raipur Police has sent teams to Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh to nab Kalicharan Maharaj who has been booked for using derogatory words against Mahatma Gandhi and hailing Nathuram Godse for killing the father of the nation. Kalicharan made these offensive remarks at a Dharam Sansad held in Raipur.
The FIR against Kalicharan Maharaj was filed at Tikrapara police station in Raipur on a complaint by former mayor of Raipur Pramod Dubey. He has been booked under sections 505(2) [Statements creating or promoting enmity, hatred or ill will between classes] and section 294 [obscene act in any public place] of the IPC.
